FINALLY - SOCIAL WELFARE REGISTRAION OF ISAIAH'S UMUZI WOTHANDO

Dear friends and family
IT'S OFFICIAL Our Babies Home {Isaiah's Umuzi Wothando} has been registered with Social Welfare and we can start the process of taking in children now. We plan to take the group from Mpilo and the process has already begun. It's very exciting as we've waited for quite a while - although knowing it's all been in God's perfect timing ! By the way we have opened up a blog site for the Home which will contain various newsletters and updates.
We will certainly have our hands full when the children start coming in but we believe God will provide as He always has. Next step is a marketing strategy - encouraging people to consider fostering and adoption...
Well I'm heading to bed now, hoping I will get to sleep amidst the excitement of the news today.
It's been a good day, first the news ofr IUW, second my dad may be able to get a passport having been without for 5 and a half years, theirdly workwise Sharon and I are working like trains catching up what's been behind for sometime - yeah I finally have someone to help me and it's a huge pressure released.
Ok God bless and look forward to posting the next one...
Luv always - ME

Baby Josiah Malcolm Armstrong

Well this post is about another special family member :-

Josiah Malcolm Armstrong born to Resa and Wayne on 28th August 2007 - little brother to Noah Thomas.

Despite the fact that we may not have met in person - he's special because he is what God created him to be - a blessing to his family. At only a month and a few days old he already has a wonderful testimony to share about God's love. He's going home today, to the place where he will grow in love with his mom, his dad and his big brother. It's the best news I've heard all day !!

Right from the start of his life, it hasn't been an easy road but I feel we've walked it all together in heart, from so far it's the best we could do, prayer can bring one closer than anything else imaginable. So for Josi, jaundice, a blistering rash and also a hole in his heart... I said whatever next... but quickly I took those words back becoz so many other children have suffered worse fates in life and in some nothing can compare.

We are just so grateful that from birth God has guarded Josiah's life, and maybe he's not the only special one because his family are just as special as He. I can tell you through all this, feeling so far away I was so much at peace knowing Josiah was born to an amazing family - Wayne, you have portrayed such strength in faith and it's an encouragement for others, especially for me - Resa, you were there with Josiah, watching over him and always keeping us updated on his progress and Noah, always there to bring laughter and joy at just the right time. Josiah cannot tell you this himself right now, and he probably won't remember much of this without glancing at the pictures, but on his behalf I'll say thank you for all you have done, each one of you is a blessing to the other. Keep strong together forever !!

Josiah is now 8 lbs. 11 oz, from check in weight of 7 lbs. 3 oz and has also grown 2.5 in. since birth. He has no more jaundice, no more leisons and no more IVs, and today when the doctor checked him over he could not hear a murmur. So we praise God for his healing thus far and we know he will grow from strength to strength, whatever happens it will be for God's Glory.

My favourite pictures so far ...

Family is so special

Some may not realise the importance of family and friends in one's life - God created us all to be a part of His family and in addition He gave each of us a family of our own too. Today I wanted to share how special someone in my family is ...

~ My husband Kev is an amazing man of making plans ! In this critical stage of our life in Zim my husband has gone all out to resolve what would normally be major problems in one's life !!

Power : We have the blessing of an inverter and that not only runs the TV and VCR, he has also set up lights in the kitchen and lounge which run on battery power when the electricity gets cut in the evenings.

Cooking : He has made a wood stove from an old truck rim which has a cast iron plate as the cooking surface. He has given this to our domestics to use on a daily basis and when the power goes out we can also use this to boil our veg and even fry some meat {that's when we can find some in Zim at a reasonable price!}

Water : as we haven't had municipal water supplied to our home in 2 weeks he has converted an old truck fuel tank into a storage tank which gravity feeds into house - the greatest part is it fills up the toilet and so the effort of filling buckets from the pool is no longer a tiresome part of our life. This water also feeds through the taps but not quite enough pressure to feed the geyser. That's another plan in progress !

Transport : our good old Mazda 323 is starting to shows signs of it's age but with regular tuneups done by my husband the car still gets me to church each Sunday. When the fuel runs low and we can't just pull into a garage like many folks do - he will syphon some fuel from a "chigub" into the car - certainly not a job I like to do.

So what more could I ask for - a handyman as a husband ! That is a sure blessing and I'm grateful to Kev for all that he does for us all.

Next post will be another special family member.

Posting a picture

Ok so I think I have managed a post - but can't seem to manage the actual picture insert, still playing so will eventually get there... Ok looks like I have succeeded on this bit. Huuummmm this isn't too difficult but stand back when we get the phone bill... Oh well living in Zim - it's won't come as a shocker. So that's my man "looking a little stressed" and of course that's me "taking it easy as always". Gotta go now so will post again soon I hope. God bless, luv 'n' friendship always Sis'Bee

First Time Blogger

Hi there friends

I'm intrigued - everyone seems to be doing this and I've decided it's time for me to learn so hope it's as easy as you all make it out to be...

Right now I have no idea what I'm going to post and ultimately what all will be on this "Blog" but nonetheless I'm sure as each week or month passes there will be something of interest to at least one person out there !

Well will see how it all goes. May God bless you this day or night and shower His blessings upon you all. Bye for now
